I'm a dreamer!!
Last night i was very concentrated reading suff about MIT EECS, the carrer of the undergraduated in EECS and they're paymente as engineers in USA...and of my god....i ask myself: "WHAT I'M I DOING IN PORTUGAL?". In Portugal inflation is sky hight...job market is the worst in the whole Europe...life cost is more than the salarys...the minimum salary is a shame...well...in the end...Portugal is a misery country!! It is a beautiful and peaceful country yes...but...is a country with a deep economic crises! Everyday i watch the news i only hear that the job market is getting worst...the retirement is getting harder to get and what the govermente pay for your retirment is getting lower and lower...!
Here a engineer with a Ph.D in Computer Science get's what...3000/4000€!! in USA the average salary of a Ph.D engineer in CS get's 6000USD and the Ph.D engineers in CS or EE graduated in MIT get the average salary of 110.000USD per year...that's almost 9200USD per month! I have many friends that live in USA and some family contacts in the US..and they say that the living cost isn't that hight as is in Portugal! The Americans get sad because there salary sometimes gets low 0.25%...so if they worked in portugal they would suicide...cause here it's always getting lower about 25% and the inflation is about 30%!!
In the US everything seems much easier than is in Europe...i'm not saying this just by not knowing...i know that because i have a friend that lived almost 20 years in portugal and now she's gone to US about 3 months and she says that she's earning and having a much better life that she ever had in her 20 years living in Portugal! I'm aware that it's tough for a Iranian get to US but as a European...isn't that hard! When i turn 18 i automaticly get the Portuguese Nationality...'cause i was born in Portugal and just lived 8 years in Iran!
I'm gonna give my best and start studying (finally LOOL) and get the best grades and scores of my school...so i can one day enter MIT and get the engineering course that i want! =)
